Kathleen McDonald

Kathleen McDonald is the Founder of the HeartSong Center, a Certified HeartSong Coach, master voice teacher and coach, and performing artist. She has practiced and taught HeartSong, a sound energy and sound healing practice, since 1998, initially studying with the late Shawna Carol, author of The Way of Song.

Soprano Kathleen McDonald has shared her artistry nationally and in Europe to great acclaim. A highly versatile performing artist equally at home in opera, musical theater and in concert, Kathleen had the privilege of originating the role of Della in the musical, “The Gift of The Magi.”

Kathleen has been on the music faculties of four universities as well as taught in community music schools, and private and public schools. Kathleen actively teaches through McDonald Music Studio, a highly regarded music studio in Greater Boston, Massachusetts. Her students have pursued careers in music, been accepted to noted conservatories and universities and have won numerous competitions and scholarships. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.

Kathleen earned a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Vocal Performance, summa cum laude, from the University of California, Irvine and a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from Boston University’s School of Music and was a scholarship recipient to Tanglewood Music Center’s Vocal Program and the Oren Brown Voice Seminar.
